(3)CO2 laser is a gas laser with a wavelength of 10.6 micron in far-infrared optical frequency band. CO2 gas is used as pumping medium.This, coupled with a high voltage, creates a self-excited conduction in the rarefied gas, which in turn causes the gas molecules to emit a laser.
