If the spindle is not cooled in time, it will have a great impact on the service life of the spindle, and the spindle will be burned in severe cases.

 

There are two main cooling methods for the spindle, water cooling and air cooling. So when buying an CNC router machine, how to choose a suitable spindle?

 

Choice of CNC router machine power:

Choose according to the material cut by the CNC router machine. If the engraving object is a relatively soft material such as acrylic, plastic, etc., the spindle power can be within 1.5KW-3.0KW, which can not only achieve the purpose of engraving, but also save costs. If the engraving object is wood, it should be selected according to the hardness of the processed wood. Generally, the spindle power is 2.2KW-4.5KW.

The spindle power of the stone CNC router machine is relatively higher, generally between 4.5KW-7.5KW, and the most commonly used spindle motor is 5.5KW. Due to the small bed of the jade CNC router machine, the power of the spindle motor is generally 2.2KW-3.0KW. If the spindle motor is too large, it will not only waste electricity, but also increase the cost of buying the machine. If the power is too small, it cannot meet the engraving needs. Therefore, it is very important to choose the appropriate spindle motor power.

 

Choice of cooling method for CNC router machine:

The water-cooled spindle adopts the method of water circulation to cool the heat generated by the spindle, because the temperature of the water after passing through the circulation usually does not exceed 40 °C, which can ensure a good cooling effect. The air-cooled spindle adopts a fan to dissipate heat, and its heat dissipation effect is not as good as that of the water-cooled spindle. However, in practical use, since the water-cooled spindle needs to be connected to the water pump, it is more troublesome to need an extra water tank and connect the water pipe. The air-cooled spindle will not have so many use problems.
